The Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC, the National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image) supports creation and innovation in the video game industry. The aid is intended to support game dev companies in the development stage and during the production of a game prototype or also in the production phase. This allows to support game dev studios in terms of risk-taking, especially in the production phase, by providing support to the production of cultural content. The objective is to promote new creations as well as to encourage companies to create a heritage value around the video games they produce, by preserving their intellectual property rights. This is provided in the form of a grant.
